Facilities Manager
The Rock River Valley Blood Center is currently seeking a Facilities Manager to work in a hands-on capacity managing the daily business operations for facilities and mobile bus operations. This includes facilities management of four fixed sites, mobile buses, company vehicles, and all other necessary facilities maintenance needs. This position will supervise our mobile unit assistants (drivers) and work closely with management and supervisory staff to ensure safe, effective facility operations. Incumbent works with shipping and receiving staff to track and route supplies, provides hands-on light mechanical maintenance for common fixes and may assist on mobile blood drives. Position will work with outside service vendors to coordinate the service and maintenance of the building, building equipment (i.e., refrigerators, electric, heating and plumbing) fixed sites, coach buses, vehicles and grounds.
Successful candidate is a strong team player who is mission oriented with excellent facilities management, leadership, communication and organizational skills. Excellent mechanical and technical aptitude required with recognized vocational or apprenticeship training, certification or licensing, i.e., electrical, auto, heating, or plumbing a plus. Position requires safe driving record to operate company vehicles as necessary. Ability to obtain CDL/B license or currently possess a plus.
